Now that I'm not mildly tipsy and slaphappy after reliving my young teen days, it's time for a real update.

With only a few days left before the Chicago trip, it's really difficult to concentrate at work. I'm finally doing something that I've wanted to do for years-- finally meeting Max is something I've been waiting for since I was fifteen years old. I've made plans, but none of them ever came to fruitation for various reasons, mostly the whole money issue. That and I really don't like the idea of traveling completely by myself.

The plan is to leave at around 4:30/5:00 in the morning on Sunday (I'll have picked up Patrick sometime Saturday) and hopefully reach Chicago by noon. Then we'll check in at the hotel and make our way to the museum we're going to, and meet up with Max there. After that? Not sure, other than we're going to find a pizza place and I shall force him to admit that Chicago style pizza is better than New York style! BWUAHAHAHAHAHHA*cough*

And then on Monday, Patrick's going to talk to an admissions person for a college in Bloomginton on the way home and stop at other random tourist traps. I do have to get him home at a relatively reasonable hour though, considering he has an academic challenge thing on Tuesday. Let's see if he does better at it than I did when I went. >:]

Also! Bookmooch for the win. I've gotten rid of that godawful Legacy of the Force series through that, and I'm picking up a few other books I've wanted.

...It's kinda funny. I bitched about the latest Star Wars books because they killed off my favorite character, yet I'm reading the Song of Fire and Ice series, and several of my favorite characters have died. Damn you, George RR Martin! >:[

Red Wedding ftl. ;_;

That's it for now though. I should concentrate on this interview I'm in on SL, dealing with avatar identity and anonymity.

A chapter of my life may finally close...but another one might open.

What is the difference between the pizza styles?

Chicago style pizza is thicker, while New York style is rather thin and usually foldable.

I like both, don't get me wrong, but Chicago pwns. ^^

The thing is...I didn't even get to that book, I was one or two behind thanks to not having a decent bookstore within 30 miles and I picked up the one -after- that book and it was all splattered over the back cover.

I was not pleased, and didn't bother continuing. I realize said character probably had to die...buuut...

I will post an in-depth review of the relative pizza styles sometime on Monday.
